This 1998 L5 CESN is a fabulous guitar. Built as a part of a special promotion that the Custom Art and Historic Division put together, Gibson left no details unattended to in the creation of this rare and treasured treat. From the finely grained spruce top, to the quilted maple sides and back flanked by all of the hand-laid black pearl and abalony inlay, to the custom engraved pickup covers, and tailpiece, this instrument lays claim as one of the finest Gibson archtops ever made. You can't just play this guitar, without letting it inspire you for hours. It has a touch and feel, very solid, like no other. The most spectacular L5 that I have ever had the privilege of playing - It’s my favorite L5.
