Limited to only 25 instruments, the Flying Dolphin represents Nik's finest work. The workmaship is exquisite and Flying Dolphin #12 is one of the most incredible instruments in the market. It is a double stained Atlantic Blue Dolphin II with an exceptional 1-piece quilted top . It has a magnificent flamed Mahogany body with exquisite maple topside body purfling. The Flying Dolphin includes an 85 piece Handcut Multi-Inlay made of Abalone, Black Pearl, Mother of Pearl, and Sterling Silver on the top of the body. Body inlays are very unique, and very difficult to build. Flying #12 also has the Brazilian Rosewood / Select Maple package consisting of a solid 1-piece Brazilian Rosewood Neck, Fingerboard, and outstanding backside cover plate with Select Maple Pickup covers, Truss rod cover, Tuning Keys, Toggle selector, and knobs. It has a 25.5" scale, which helps with sustain and playability. It has 2 Haussel Humbucking pick-ups, Nik's preferred pick-up choice. #12 has a stop tail. Additionally, Flying Dolphin #12 has gold hardware.
