“Each musical instrument tells a story,” says Ribbecke.  “This is my gift, my mission in life: to create instruments that people will be playing 400 or 500 years from now.”   “Ribbecke is a genius.”  It wasn’t long before his ability to produce highly responsive, curvaceous instruments made him a rock star among luthiers.  His famous Blue Mingione Guitar, was on display at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. “His guitars are amazing sounding,” “They ring like grand pianos and are comfortable, like the love of your life. But they are also real art pieces, with amazing designs and a very personal aesthetic.”
This 35th Anniversary Ribbecke celebrates Tom's 35th year of making exquisite guitars.  “The Italian”, one of only 2 35th anniversary guitars Tom made, and over 3 years in the making, brings out Tom's best spanning an incredible 35 years as a master luthier.  With an Italian Spruce top and phenomenal birdseye maple sides and back, this instrument is painstakingly finished and hand-voiced to perfection.  Inlay work by the master Larry Robinson (1,000,000th Martin) brings out Tuscan images of Italy with grape fingerboard inlays, and dramatic headstock and pickguard inlays.  The color is a warm, golden amber bringing out the intense grain of the spruce and birdseye maple.  Simply flawless.
This prized instrument comes with a Ribbecke spec'd custom wound Bartolini floating pickup and a white Calton HSC.
Tom’s Private Practice Guitars are now very limited and start at $30,000
